About Us

Kait

Hi! I’m Kait. I’m a recent college graduate with two bachelors degrees in Creative Writing & Film living in Florida. I love all things art: I love to paint, I play four instruments, and, of course, I love to write! Above all, I love a great story, and telling a great story.

My goal to tell these stories is to become a TV Drama Writer. I love the format of TV and the weekly wait for the next installment. I think that TV also lets you really dive into one of my favorite aspects of writing – the characters!

I’ve been fortunate enough to have two internships during my time at University. My first internship was at Roadmap Writers, where I got to learn so much about pitching scripts and different storytelling mediums currently on the market. My second internship was at Dark Castle Entertainment, where I completed coverage and learned so much about Indie Development. During my summer in LA for that internship, I also had the pleasure of talking to writers around the city and learning from them.

My favorite TV shows right now are How I Met Your Mother and Severance, both of which I believe showcase fantastic characters! I also love anime, and my favorite is Haikyu!! which is surprising and refreshing, and has made me have a sudden interest in volleyball. I’m a huge fan of DC Comics, so one of my favorite movies right now is definitely The Batman (2022). I also love Talk to Me (2022), Nope (2022), and Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022). I promise I’ve seen movies before and after 2022, but these are the ones I’m vibing with right now!

Cody

Hello, I’m Cody! I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Film with a minor in Creative Writing. My passion for screenwriting began as an outlet for creativity but soon expanded into a lifelong love for storytelling.

Since childhood, I have been obsessed with all things television. Being able to get a glimpse into a world much different from your own can open your eyes to possibility, understanding and growth. My intention with this blog is to throw my hat into the ring and share my thoughts on writing, art, and the world.

I am fortunate to have worked as an intern at Roadmap Writers where I learned what makes a script enticing and how to pitch shows to executives.

My favorite scripted television shows currently are Veep, Hacks, and Barry.
